Bhilai Charoda municipal corporation election results 2016

Live results would be updated on 30th December 2016. Ward wise results would be declared for BJP INC candidates.

1. After final counting, BJP candidates won in 16 wards, while Congress in 12. Independent candidates registered victory in 12 wards.
2. BJP won in 16 wards including 11,15, 22, 28 and 29
3. Congress candidates won poll in ward no 1, 8, 9, 17, 21, 25, 26, 27 and 4 others.
4. Even though final figures are yet to come, Chhatisgarh chief minister Raman Singh tweeted, saying BJP has won polls.
5. Samadaben Dalit won Sarpanch post from Vachara village of Deesa Taluka.

6. Dr Raman Singh tweeted "BJP's win in Bhilai-Charoda & Sarangarh civic elections is yet another public endorsement of Hon.PM @narendramodi ji's #DeMonetisation drive"

7. After the first round of counting BJP Mayoral candidate Chandrakant Mandle received 10147 votes. Congress leader Jyoti Banjare got 8624 votes. Chandrakant Mandle was leading by 1523 votes.

8. The last round of counting will take place in Ward No 23 Panchsheel Nagar.
9. The first result will come from Ward No 22 Housing Board Charoda, where the fight is between Congress candidate Yuvraj Dhobi and and BJP’s Kishore Sahu.
10. Bhilai Charoda lies in the Durg District. The Bhilai Charoda Municipality is the administrative body of the Bhilai Charoda City.
11. BJP and Congress candidates to test their fate in this local body poll.

Voting will take place tommorrow from 8 am till 5 pm. Counting of votes on 30th Dec

1. 69% voting has been registered for Bhilai Charoda municipal corporation election 2016
2. Congress Mayor Candidate Jyoti Banjare casted her vote at Ward no. 16 shanti nagar booth.
3. Total Voters: 82,369 ; Polling station: 103
4. Also voting has started for 3 district members, 96 Sarpanch, 463 Panch
5. Voting has began for Bhilai Charoda municipal corporation election
6. 8 candidates are in fray for the Mayoral post.
7. They are Urmila Banjare, Geeta Baghel, Chandrakanta Mandle (BJP), Jyoti Banjare (Indian National Congress), Pushpa Gendare, Ragini Devi Soni, Baleshwari Vadekar and Resham Jangde. 
8. On the other hand three rebels from BJP Pushpa Gendare, Baleshwari Vadekar and Geeta Baghel filed the B-form and declared to fight the election as independent candidates. 
9. Number of aspirants contesting for Corportors for the 40 Wards under BCMC has reduced to 174.
10. Brijmohan Agrawal, a senior Minister in the BJP Government, claimed on Saturday that the BJP would notch up an easy win in Bhilai-3 Charoda Municipal Corporation polls scheduled on December 27.
