Kota administration ready for elections in Itawa & Ramganj Mandi, Itawa Municipal Corporation Election 2015, Ramganj Mandi Municipal Corporation Election 2015, Itawa civic polls, Ramganj Mandi civic polls

Rajasthan civicKOTA: The Kota district administration is all set to conduct municipal corporation polls for Itawa and Ramganj Mandi on Monday. "We are religiously following the standard protocol of the state election commission," said Dr Ravi Kumar Surpur, DM, Kota. "I am in Ramganj Mandi holding meetings so that polls can be conducted in a peaceful manner.

We have a total of 55 voting stations and a total of 15,606 voters in Itawa and 24,594 voters in Ramganj Mandi. Preventive measures are being taken. Police have been deployed, while administrative officers have also been deployed. The counting of votes would be held on August 20," Dr Ravi Kumar Surpur added.


Itawa will witness polling for the first time as it has been elevated from rural to urban local self-body, he said. "Here, we have deployed two police jawans each at the 25 polling booths," said Mohan Ratnu, returning officer, Itawa. Out of these, six booths have been identified as sensitive, where as a precautionary measure, we have deployed two extra police jawans," he added. 

We have also three mobile police party taking rounds in order that peaceful polls can be conducted. We have 25 EVM but we have kept 30 machines in reserve, he added. 

There are 30 wards which will see polling tomorrow, said SD Meena, RO, Ramganj Mandi. Ramganj Mandi has been divided into 4 sectors, we have deployed 4 officers to monitor fair elections at 6 to 8 stations. Plus this we have mobile police teams to oversee 5 hyper sensitive areas and 5 sensitive areas, informed SD Meena. Law and order is our first priority for conducting fair and peaceful elections, said Meena. 

We are upbeat and confident of victory as our party has been steadfast in our promises, said Jaiveer Singh Amrit Kua, district BJP president. We have built public's trust by our commitment to public welfare both at Itawa and Ramganj Mandi. 

It's very difficult to give a forecast at this moment. But I can say that our position is better than last time, said Pankaj Mehta, state general secretary, Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee. 

Others districts to seeing municipal polling tomorrow are Jhalawar district, polling will be conducted at Jhalawar, Jhalarapatan, Bhawani mandi, Piplada and Aklera. Peace full and fair polling is our aim, said Ramcharan Verma, upkhand adhikari, Jhalawar. We have 39 booth and 14 hyper sensitive and 9 sensitive. 

We have involved aganwari workers to help women coming to vote in Jhalarapatan. We have had police carry out march-past in our area , we have 32,000 voters coming to participate in the polls tomorrow, and we 3 hyper sensitive booths that we are watching out for, said Hanuman Singh Gujjar, upkhand adhikari, Khanpur. 

There is enthusiasm among the people, polling will be done in 28 wards, 2 wards will not have any polling, said Kamal Singh, sub-dision officer, Bhawani Mandi. I have inspected my area and administration is in place for a peaceful poll, said Ramkrishna Meena, sub-dision officer, Piplada. Two polling booths are hyper and two are sensitive which are being monitored. 

In Baaran district polling will be conducted in Baaran and Anta Nagar palika. In Baran district we are alert and will conduct peaceful polling at 86 polling booths in Baaran and 26 in Anta Nagar, said, Naresh Kumar Maalav, ADM and RO, Baaran. 

In Bundi district, municipal polls will be held in Bundi, Keshorai patan, Nainwan, Indergrah, Lakhari and Kapren. Situation in Bundi is peaceful, we have 45 wards and 73 polling booths out of which 10 are hyper sensitive, said RO Madan Gopal Meena.
