Youths will be forerunner of change: Vasundhara Raje.
JAIPUR: BJP state president Vasundhara Raje on Tuesday exhorted the youth to take active participation in the election process. Those responsible for the country's future must be part of the democratic process, she said at her inaugural address in 'Youth for Change programme' organized by a body 'Youth Against Corruption' in Jaipur on Tuesday.
The event was supported by ABVP. She also attacked the tradition of dynastic succession in Congress. "Rahul Gandhi is promising to alleviate poverty but scams and scandals by UPA at the Centre are ensuring that the poor will disappear from the scene. It is unfortunate that even after ruling the nation for 60 years, the Congress is still alleviating poverty," said Raje, adding that state's majority are still BPL.
She asked youths to be the harbinger of change. "The youths and first time voters will bring a change in the state. All you have to do is come in huge numbers to vote for change," said Raje.
She sent a strong message to the ticket seekers that candidates who has the potential and displayed their work will get the tickets and warned those intending to use money. "Those candidates who will attempt to use money power to buy tickets will not only loose all the chances but will be shown the door," said Raje. This is Raje's third meeting with youths in less than two weeks. She is leaving no stone unturned to woo young voters which, projection says, will be game changer.
