No nomination filed on day-2 UMC Polls-2015

Ujjain : No nomination form was filed on the second day of the nomination procedure, here on Wednesday. State Election Commission has issued the schedule of Ujjain Municipal Corporation (UMC) Polls-2015.
Deputy District Returning Officer Rajnish Shrivastava informed that no nomination was filed on July 21 and 22. Last date of filing nomination form is July 28. Model poll code of conduct has come into effect after the declaration of the election programme of UMC Polls.
Polling will be held for the election of mayor and corporators on August 12 while result will be declared on August 16. District Returning Officer Kavindra Kiyawat has restricted the leaves of officials and employees from all official departments, Municipal Corporation and Semi-official department with immediate effect. All the department chiefs were directed not to approve more than two day casual leave to their officials and employees.
Kiyawat also instructed concerned officials during a review meeting of Poll preparations for imposing the model code of conduct strictly at the polls, at Brahaspathi Bhavan on Wednesday.
Deputy Returning Officer was asked to constitute SST and VST teams. Zonal officials were directed to make inspection of their polling booths of their respective areas within three days. A report should be presented after analyzing the arrangements of the booths.
