Home Minister, Law Minister to discuss expedition of trials against MPs facing criminal charges
New Delhi: Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad will meet on Monday to discuss expediting legal trials against MPs facing criminal charges. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had earlier said that criminal trials against MPs should reach the logical conclusion soon.
The meeting comes just days after the Supreme Court put the onus on Modi to decide whether corrupt ministers should continue or not.
The Supreme Court said that the PM is the repository of all constitutional values and should thus correctly advise the President on the matter.
