2. Skill, Speed to compete with Chaina Focus needed, Modi
Compeating with chaina needs focus on Skill, speed, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday, drawing a link between the colors in the national flag to the revolutions the country needed for its future growth. "We need to think big which is need of the hour also. The more we focus on skill, scale and speed, it will increase India's growth trajectory," the prime minister said.
3. Chandrababu Naidu’s new innings started as Modi assures all possible help for Andhara.
New Delhi: N Chandrababu Naidu was sworn in and he begins his new innings on Sunday as the Chief Minister of bifurcated Andhra Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured him "all possible help" and hoped that his administrative experience will be great asset to the state. He said Naidu's administrative experience and commitment to development will be a great asset in taking Andhra Pradesh to newer heights. Modi tweets as well and said that "The Centre is committed to extending all possible help to the people and government of Andhra Pradesh," He also extended his best wishes to him and his team in "developing the state." Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President Naidu will be sworn in as the first Chief Minister of new Andhra Pradesh at a grand function this evening.
4. New Delhi: On the directions of Narender Modi, a special drive was started on Sunday to clean offices of Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) at North Block in New Delhi. The drive is aimed at creating healthy working environment for the staff in the two key departments by getting rid of clutter and weeding out old and unwanted files, officials said.
5. Jayalalithaa writes to Modi on fishermen fear, demands strict action
Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalithaa continues her resistance to the Sri Lankan government. She wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday demanding action against the Mahinda Rajapaksa government for capturing 82 fishermen from Tamil Nadu and seizing 18 boats.
6. Bringing down food prices topmost agenda of Modi government
Curtailing food inflation will be Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's top priority as his government pursues broad economic reforms focused on job creation, reviving growth, encouraging FDI and introducing a non-adversarial tax regime.
