BHOPAL: Deputy Election Commissioner of India Vinod Zutshi on Saturday directed all district election officers and 230 returning officers ofMadhya Pradesh to have knowledge about all aspects of nomination process, according to a press release.
Possible errors can be avoided only if officers have minute information about the process. Zutshi was seeking information about election preparations from officers posted in district through video-conference from Chief Electoral Office. Chief Electoral Officer Jaideep Govind was also present on the occasion.
Zutshi apprised the officers about such special points regarding nomination process due to which errors occur mostly. He said that most of the preparations in districts have been completed after review by the Election Commission. There were some shortcomings in a few districts which have been overcome during last review meeting of the commission.
Additional Chief Electoral OfficerBL Kantarao, Joint Chief Electoral Officer SS Bansal and other officers also attended the meeting.
