Bhopal:
Actor Raza Murad on Friday hit out at Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP poll panel chief Narendra Modi saying if some one has Prime Ministerial ambitions, then that person needs to have a big heart. "No one can become a Prime Minister by dividing the society on religious lines," he said. He took a jibe at Modi earlier in the day and praised Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Signh Chouhan for his secularism spirit by wearing a skull cap during Eid celebrations. On the other hand, Modi had earlier refused to wear the skull cap during his three-day Sadbhavana fast. He took on Modi again saying he would be the last person to vote for him. "Under the given circumstances, I would be the last one to vote for Narendra Modi," he said. On BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha's statement 'Abhi Dilli door hai (Delhi is far)', he said 'Kahin Dilli aur door na ho jaye (Delhi will remain very far)'. He also said that he agreed with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar who had said that anyone dreaming to rule the country should take everyone along. The remarks came at a time when Modi is seen as the BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate and is also the poster boy of the party's election campaign. Clarifying his statement on wearing a skull cap, the actor said, "If you wear a skull cap or wear a tilak, it does not change one's religion." He added that he did not name anyone, but was just appreciating the gesture of Shivraj. He said he may not agree with his party's policies but he did appreciate Shivraj's gesture of attending an Eid party. "I did not say in the context of Modi. I did not say that one chief minister should take a leaf from Shivraj,' he said. The actor had earlier said many chief ministers need to learn from Shivraj Chouhan that wearing a cap does not affect your religion. "By participating in someone's festivities, your religion would not be corrupted. Shivraj Singh is no less popular than any other Chief Minister but he comes here and wishes us Eid Mubarak every year and wears the topi. Wearing the topi is good but forcing someone else to wear it is wrong,' he said. source:http://ibnlive.in.com/news/ |
