In Kolaras, Congress's Mahendra Singh Yadav defeated BJP's Devendra Kumar Jain by 8,083 votes.

  3. At the end of the 8th round of counting, Congress leading in Kolaras by 2,604 votes.
  4. In Kolaras, Congress candidate Mahendra Singh Yadav is leading by 2142 votes after the completion of the fifth round of counting.
  5. The Congress candidate is leading against the BJP contender. Congress’s Mahendra Singh Yadav is leading against BJP’s Devendra Jain by over 750 votes.
  6. The second round of vote count ends, Congress candidate is ahead of the BJP contender by 297 votes. As per the trends, the vote share between the candidates is:
    Congress’s Mahendra Singh Yadav: 3,295
    BJP’s Devendra Jain: 2,998

  8. Congress candidate Mahendra Yadav is ahead of BJP candidate Devendra Jain by 832 votes. The counting of votes in Kolaras is expected to conclude by evening.

  10. After the first round of vote count, the Congress is leading against the BJP by 832 votes. Congress candidate Mahendra Singh Yadav has bagged 3,544 votes and the BJP has gained 2,835 votes.
  11. Till now, Congress candidate Mahendra Singh Yadav is leading against the BJP candidate. While Yadav has secured 247 votes, BJP candidate Devendra Jain has gained 201 votes.
  12. Congress candidate Mahendra Singh Yadav is leading in Kolaras bye-election 2018 results. Meanwhile, the counting is still underway.
  13. Kolaras Assembly seat is currently held by the Congress. It falls under the Guna Lok Sabha constituency which is the bastion of Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia.
  14. Voting for Kolaras Assembly bye-election 2018 was held on February 24. Bypoll to Kolaras Assembly constituency, which was held on Saturday, recorded 70 percent turnout.

Kolaras(Madhya Pradesh) By Poll Election 2018 Details  

The by-elections to the Mungaoli and Kolaras assembly constituencies in Madhya Pradesh will be held on February 24, the Election Commission announced on Friday.

  1. The two assembly seats were represented by the Congress prior to them falling vacant.
  2. The bypolls for the two seats assume importance given the fact that assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh are expected to take place in October-November this year.
  3. Senior Congress leader and MP from Guna Jyotiraditya Scindia is leading the campaign in both the constituencies for the party.Meanwhile, chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has addressed a number of public meetings in the two constituencies.
  4. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is February 9, a poll official informed.
