Shivraj Singh Chouhan ridicules Rahul Gandhi, goes ballistic against Congres.
INDORE: Three days after Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi kick-started poll campaign in Indore, promising to turn the commercial capital into five best cities of the country, BJP mascot chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan ridiculed the Nehru-Gandhi family scion saying he did no do his homework well. Wrapping up Jan Ashirwad Yatra in Indore on Sunday, the CM said it would serve him well to know the city is already in the league of top five cities in the country.
"The yuvraj (Rahul) tell tales of his family of four. His family has four members, we are a family of 7.5 crore people for whom we live and are committed to," Chouhan said, addressing a public rally in Sanwer. In other six assembly segments of the district, he stuck to the same script, going all guns blazing at the Congress party.
"He has sought ten years from you for taking Indore in the league of top five cities of the country oblivious of the fact that Indore is already among the five top Indian cities," the CM said.
"The sole aim of the Congress is to oust the BJP and me from the power in the state. Their party's high command has clearly told them that if they failed to win this time in MP, they would never win again and would grow old and get finished. The party's high command diktats united Congress leaders in the state, who once did not even see each other eye to eye and quarreled like cat and dog in the past," Chouhan maintained.
Chouhan said the Congress calls me ghoshnaveer (man of announcements), but forgets we don't only make promises, but also fulfill them. "The opposition party doesn't even have the courage to even make promises. Even in their midnight dream they only dream of ousting my government."
Hard-selling his development agenda, the CM added in the last ten years we've transformed MP from a BIMARU state to a developed one. "We'll make the state India's numero uno state on all developmental parameters in 3-4 years," he claimed.
Listing achievements of his government - ranging from building houses for poor to multi-facility 108 ambulance and from scholarships for students to ambitious pilgrimage scheme for elders, special schemes girls, the CM promised young and innovative entrepreneurs-run strong network of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the state.
