Rahul Gandhi entered Maharashtra on Friday, 5th Feb, for campaigning despite a warning from Shiv Sena to "keep off Maharashtra". The congress youth icon is to interact with the youth and students of Mumbai.
Shiv Sena has no plans of taking this silently and has decided to greet Gandhi with black flags wherever he goes.
The Mumbai Police is working hard to keep the situation under control to prevent any potential trouble in the city. The police have even taken some sena activists into custody, including some parliamentary district chiefs of the Sena, local chiefs and other activists.
In his half a day plan, Rahul has plans of interacting with the youth in the city belonging to two totally different sections of the society, the students and the youth living in the slums.
Students who have been invited from different cities are to be addressed by Rahul at the Bhaidas Auditorium in Juhu at around 11 in the morning according to a spokesman for the Mumbai Regional Congress Committee (MRCC).
He said, "He will deliver a short address to them before a select group of students have individual interaction with him."
Later that day, Rahul has plans of interacting with the youth in the slums of Ramabai Ambedkar Nagar in Ghatkopar where he will also garland a statue of Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Ambedkar.
