Goa civic polls ,Filing of nominations for civic polls begins today,Goa municipal corporation election,civic poll, Goa municipal corporation election notification
A statement from the Department of Information and Publicity said that returning officers would receive nominations between 11 am and 2 pm from Wednesday till October 8 except on holidays.
Nomination forms will be scrutinized on October 9, and the date for withdrawal is October 10. The list of candidates will be displayed the same day at 2 pm.
Polls will take place on October 25 from 8 am to 5 pm and the counting of votes will be held on October 27 from 8 am onwards.
The district Collectors have been appointed as election officers. The schedule, reservation notification, nomination forms along with affidavits, forms for appointment of polling/ counting agents, election agents, instructions to candidates, nomination fees have been uploaded on the Commission’s website.
The elections will be held for 159 wards of 11 municipal councils spread over 307 polling stations.
