Voting for elections to 34 municipal councils in Vidarbha will be held on November 1 while that for four newly created municipal councils in Naxal-affected Gadchiroli district will be held on November 6, as per schedule announced by state election commissioner JS Saharia in Mumbai on Monday.
A three-phase election programme for 2,352 gram panchayats was also announced by Saharia and commission secretary Pradeep Vyas. The polling dates for the panchayat polls are October 28, November 1 and November 6. Electoral code of conduct will be enforced from tonight in all the places where elections are scheduled.
The councils going to polls on November 1 are:-

|5||Motala (Buldhana district)|
|28||Samudrapur (Wardha district)|
|37||Chamorshi (in Gadchiroli district).|
Among gram panchayats going to polls, five are in Amravati district, six in Buldhana, two in Washim, five in Wardha, one in Gondia, 15 in Gadchiroli. Polling for Gadchiroli and Gondia will be between 7.30 am and 3 pm.
