Maharashtra Assembly poll 2014: BJP workers must aggressively work for elections, says BJP's Devendra Fadnavis
Making the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) the number one party in the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections and taking the Mahayuti (the grand alliance of the BJP, Shiv Sena and RPI) to victory would be a real tribute to late Union Minister Gopinath Munde, and for that, party workers should aggressively work for the state elections, BJP state President Devendra Fadnavis has said.
Fadnavis was speaking at the inauguration of office bearers meeting in Mumbai. Addressing BJP office bearers, Fadnavis said the state unit had mixed feelings despite the victory in the recent Lok Sabha elections. Also Read-- BJP, Shiv Sena win civic bypolls in Nashik
"On the one hand, we are celebrating the BJP's massive win in the Lok Sabha elections. At the same time, we have lost Gopinath Munde, who worked hard for the last 40 years to build up the BJP in the state. Due to his death, we all now have a big responsibility. In his absence, we have to work together to conquer Maharashtra,” he said. Also Read-- AAP will contest 60-70 seats in Maharashtra, says Anjali Damania
Attacking the Congress-NCP alliance, Fadnavis said, “The Congress-NCP alliance has damaged the state in the last 15 years. During the Lok Sabha elections, the citizens of Maharashra showed faith in the Narendra Modi government, and now we have to win their trust." In the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, the Mahayuti won 42 out of the total 48 seats. Also Read-- Public Interest Litigation(PIL) challenges Maratha reservation in Maharashtra
