AAP all setup for Lok Sabha 2014 election, massive competition among parties:
New Delhi: The dynamics of the 2014 General Elections have changed with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) deciding to contest the "maximum number of seats" in the upcoming polls.
The entry of the new outfit on the national scene has changed the political scenario, which was until now focussed on the battle between the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
After an impressive show in Delhi elections last year, the entry of Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP has set alarm bells ringing within both the national parties. AAP could pose a big threat to BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, who have dominated the leadership debate till now.
Undoubtedly, AAP has rewritten the rule of the game with many seasoned politicians now accepting that they need to learn from the new political outfit.
Rahul Gandhi has acknowledged that the AAP has succeeded by encouraging involvement of people and there is a need to learn from it.
Another Congress leader and Union Minister Jairam Ramesh recently said that the emergence of AAP is a warning for established parties and if they do not listen to people's voice, they will soon become history.
"AAP has redefined the political scenario. It has also altered the political discourse. It was limited to Delhi till now. But, if Congress, BJP and regional parties do not listen to people's voice, they will soon become history," Ramesh said.
The BJP has been very cautious with its words and has focussed its tactic on hitting the AAP over agreeing to take support of the Congress for forming government in the national capital.
Until now, the principle Opposition party under the leadership of Modi was surging way ahead of the Congress in terms of popularity and the recent Assembly elections were a perfect example of this.
However, with AAP entering the scene, the BJP would be feeling wore worried than the Congress as the new outfit has a strong presence in the metropolitan areas, which are considered to be BJP's vote bank.
It would be hypothetical to say as to how many seats would the AAP would win, but the new entrant with its politics of 'change' is expected to give sleepless nights to the two national parties.According to 'Zee News'
