Karnataka Zila Panchayat/Parishad/Taluka Elections Live Voting has started (Poll timings : From 7.00 AM to 5.00 PM)

35 per cent voting was reported till 1 pm

15.8 per cent turnout in first 2 hrs.

The districts that are going to polls in the second phase are: Mysuru, Chikkamagaluru, Dakshina Kannada, Hassan, Kodagu, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Udupi, Bidar, Ballari, Kalaburagi, Yadgir, Raichur, Koppal, and Vijayapura.

1. Polling will be held for 155 TP seats, 41 ZP seats
2. Voting will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday
3. There are 1,562 polling stations
4. 176 candidates are in the fray
5. There are 12,68,254 eligible voters

 In the second phase polling will be held on 20-02-2016 as per the calendar of events given below for the Taluk and Zilla Panchayats of the following districts except Viajaypura, Bidar, Kalaburgi and Raichur Zilla Panchayats which are subjected to stay orders of Hon'ble High Court.
