The Axis APM exit poll predicts the BJP-AJSU Party alliance is likely to get a simple majority in Jharkhand Assembly elections. According to its findings, the BJP-AJSU alliance is expected to get 37-43 seats in the 81-member state assembly.

The BJP alone may get 34-38 seats and the AJSU is likely to win 3-5. Former chief minister Babulal Marandi led JVM may get 12-16 seats, the ruling JMM may get 10-14 and Congress 4-6 seats respectively. The RJD may get 3-5 seats and the others may get 4-8 seats.

The BJP is expected to get 38% votes and the AJSU 5% votes. The JMM 19% and the JVM 16% votes respectively. The Congress may get just 10% votes. The RJD may get 2% votes and the others may garner remaining 10% votes.
REGION WISE SEATS
According to the exit poll, the BJP-AJSU Party will form the government but the results are not in keeping with the saffron party's expectations. After its superlative performance in the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP had hoped to win the state on its own and give a single-party majority government in Jharkhand for the first time in 14 years of its existence.
But lack of credible local leaders, infighting and ambiguity over several local issues has hurt the party.
The party won 12 Lok Sabha seats and figures reveal that it led in 56 Assembly constituencies, but the exit poll shows that the party had slipped since then.
Even in several urban seats like Bokaro, Daltonganj, Jamshedpur and Sindri where the BJP is strong, it is predicted to end second best.
SANTHAL PARGANAS STILL TOUGH FOR BJP
Despite several rallies by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the state including some in JMM stronghold of Santhal Parganas, the BJP is failing in its attempt to dislodge the Sorens.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren is contesting from Dumka and Barhait in Santhal Parganas and his party is likely to hold on to its fort even if there are a few breaches.
