BJP not to project any CM candidate in Jharkhand: Raghubar Das
Dhanbad: The BJP would not project any one as chief ministerial candidate in Jharkhand assembly election but would contest the polls under "collective leadership," party national vice-president Raghubar Das said on Sunday.
Keeping political and geographical position of Jharkhand in mind party would not project any leader as chief ministerial candidate in the election, Das said. He said adivasi and non-adivasi chief minister is not an issue in Jharkhand albeit government in majority is need of the hour for all round development.
Das, who is also considered to be a strong non-adivasi chief ministerial candidate rejected the theory that he has been elevated as national vice-president in a bid to sideline him from state politics, saying he is a party worker and would take whatever responsibility party gives.
Commenting on JMM North Chhotanagpur's seven district presidents decision to not allow Union ministers to enter in their areas in protest against hooting of chief minister Hemant Soren at prime minister's function on August 21, Das said people were chanting name of Modi-Modi not name of Soren.
Protesting visit of Union ministers would only stop development of state as they come only for project expansion. "In fact people of state have been fade up with the one year rule of present government. So they are venting their ire," he said.
