Rajasthan BJP goes all out to make PM Modi's upcoming visit to Jaipur a success
The local BJP Unit of Rajasthan will ensure that the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Jaipur becomes a huge success.
PM Modi will be arriving in Jaipur on July 7. He will be in Jaipur to interact with more than 2.30 lakh beneficiaries of Government welfare scheme.
During the course of his visit, Modi is also slated to inaugurate Smart City scheme in Jaipur on July 7.
The local BJP unit, right from its numero uno leader Vasundhara Raje, to the local MPs, MLAs, and ministers have held a series of meetings to ensure that there is a massive presence of people during the upcoming PM visit.
The district collectors have also been ordered to ensure that the beneficiaries of Central and state Government schemes are identified and brought to Jaipur for the PM's meet.
The PM's visit is also considered crucial as it is his first visit since the controversy of the next BJP Chief in Rajasthan died down with the appointment of Madan Lal Saini.
For around 2 and a half months the issue of the next BJP President for Rajasthan was mooted as Vasundhara Raje was believed to be adamant on having one of her confidantes occupy the post.
Within BJP circles, Rajasthan is considered a crucial state in the lead - up to the Assembly elections and the next General elections as well.
BJP had come to power with a majority in Rajasthan in 2013, winning more than two-third of the total seats.
Subsequently, in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the party won all 25 seats. However, during the recent by-polls held in January, BJP lost all three seats, including the losses in Alwar and Ajmer Lok Sabha constituencies by heavy margins.
