Counting of votes begin for the Uttar Pradesh civic body elections.

List of all Winners of Uttar Pradesh Mayor Election Result 2017 

1. Chief Minister Adityanath began his campaign with a rally in Ayodhya, which, along with twin city Faizabad, has just been upgraded to a municipal corporation.
2. According to the State Election Commission, 24 districts had voted in the first phase of the polls on November 22, while 25 districts went to the polls in second phase. As many as 26 districts voted in the third phase on November 29.
3. BSP is currently leading in Jhansi, Meerut and Agra municipal corporations. Congress, on the other side, maintains its lead in Mathura.
4. Current trends in UP civic elections show that BJP is leading in Moradabad, Ayodhya - Faizabad, Varanasi, Firozabad, Saharanpur, Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Aligarh, Allahabad, Bareilly and Kanpur.

UP Nagar Nigam Election 2017 Third and Final Phase Live Voting

Final phase of polling begins in Uttar Pradesh. 26 districts to cast vote today.

1. In Jaunpur, reports of voters creating a ruckus at polling stations 10, 15, 25, 24 came in. CRPF called in.
2. 3 arrested for bogus voting in Baghpat.
3. 2 women arrested for bogus voting in Firozabad.
4. Police lathi charge locals after a scuffle in UP’s Barabanki over names missing in voter list, destroy tables and chairs.
5. Re-polling in Lucknow’s Balaganj booth today. Police deployment at poll booth. There were complaints of names gone missing from the rolls and EVMs malfunctioning on Sunday.
6. Reports of stone pelting at a polling booth in Etah.
7. It covers 233 urban bodies spread across 26 districts, including five municipal corporations of Bareilly, Saharanpur, Jhansi, Firozabad and Moradabad, an official said.
8. Voting for 76 Nagar Palika Parishads and 152 urban panchayats is also underway.
9. The final phase is of major importance for the seven-month-old Yogi Adityanath government as 12 Cabinet Ministers and ten state Ministers hail from these areas where polling is taking place on Wednesday.

UP Nagar Nigam Election 2017 Second Phase Live Voting

1. Voting for the second phase of local body elections is being held today across 25 districts in Uttar Pradesh.
2. Varanasi and Lucknow are among the prominent regions which will vote today. For the first time in 100 years, Lucknow, the city of Nawabs, will choose a woman mayor. 
3. The first phase of civic polls in the state, which covered 24 districts and was held on November 22, saw a voter turnout of over 52 per cent.

1. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath cast his vote at a polling station in his parliamentary constituency of Gorakhpur.

3. Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav kept a low profile as Samajwadi Party campaigned for the local body elections. However, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ran an aggressive campaign with over 30 public meetings. 
4. Voting resumed at the three booths in Mani Ram Bagia Ward number 104 in Kanpur after polling was interrupted due to a technical glitch, ANI reported. 
5. The first phase of the civic polls in Uttar Pradesh covers 230 wards - five municipal corporations, 71 municipal boards and 154 Panchayats.

The Uttar Pradesh State Election Commission on 27 October 2017 announced the schedule for Uttar Pradesh local body elections 2017. 

1. SP, BSP to use Uttar Pradesh municipal elections to test public mood.

2. The Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) are readying to take on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) once again in Uttar Pradesh, this time though in the municipal elections.

3. It will be the first electoral contest for the two parties after their rout in the assembly election earlier this year—in the 403-member assembly the SP’s tally is 47 and BSP’s is 19 seats. The civic polls is likely to serve as a dipstick on the public mood, and help the two parties prepare for the 17th Lok Sabha poll in 2019. 

4. The Election Commission said that the Uttar Pradesh civic polls 2017 will be held in 3 phases.
5. First phase - on November 22,
6. Second phase - November 26. 
7. Third and final phase - November 29. 
8. Results - on December 01 when the counting of votes will take place.
9. The local body elections will be the first big test for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath whose BJP came to power in the state earlier this year.

UP Uttar pradesh Nagar Nigam Nikay Election 2017 City District Names

1. 30 million voters would be eligible to exercise their franchise in these polls to be held for over 650 posts, including 438 municipal boards, 202 town areas and 16 corporations, also comprising two newly constituted Ayodhya Nagar Nigam and Mathura-Vrindavan Nagar Nigam. 
2.  In 2012, the BJP won10 of the 12 mayoral posts. Lucknow mayor Dinesh Sharma is now a deputy chief minister of the state.

4. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is gearing up to contest these polls. “We will contest from wherever we feel we have a strong organisational base,” AAP leader Sanjay Singh said.
5. The election commission has decided that this year EVM (electronic Voting machine) will not use in Nagar Chunav elections. Due to EVM controversy in Delhi MCD elections, UP election commission has taken this step.
   
   
6. The person can enroll their name for 2017 UP Chunav elected candidate before 15 June 2017.
7. Commission has started the rapid Survey in UP to determine the elected candidates from each ward and Nigam. This rapid survey will complete before 28th May 2017.
