As the general election for the Tamil Nadu Assembly is nearing, the Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer Rajesh Lakhoni has launched a campaign to connect with the voters through his twitter page - TN ElectionsCEO@TNelectionsCEO.
The CEO has been responsible for conducting elections to Legislative Assembly of TN and MP seats from TN. For the past few days he has been answering queries posted on the page.In his reply to a tweet, he informed that the Election Commission has been making efforts to issue EPIC through Common Service Centres. The voters can walk in, pay and collect cards.
When a tweet pointed out ‘server error’ while filling up online form in Election Commission website, Lakhoni thanked him for bringing the matter for his notice and assured he would take up the matter immediately.
The twitter advised him to #PracticeWhatYouPreach”.
Lakhoni has also answered another twitter that the new voter’s identity cards are being dispatched and it would take more than two weeks.
In another reply, Lakhoni stated that the new voter list will be out by January 20. Voters can check their name online by January 22.
