Counting of votes today for MLC Election
HYDERABAD:The counting of votes for MLC election from the Graduates Constituency of Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Mahabubnagar districts will commence at 8 am on March 25, returning officer and GHMC special commissioner Navin Mittal has said.
He said here on tuesday that elaborate arrangements were made for the counting and for that purpose 28 tables are arranged with three shifts staff at the Victory Playground Indoor Stadium near Chaderhat in the city.
The counting takes place through elimination process until the any contesting candidate gets more than 50 percent of votes polled and he will be declared as elected only after getting clearance from the Election Commission of India (ECI).
The validity of votes will be taken into consideration basing on preference from no. 1,2, and so on, (numerical) and if any voter opts for second preference without opting for first preference the votes will be invalid, if opts for NOTA (None of the above) the vote will be invalid even if there is any preference of votes already, GHMC special commissioner said.
AP/Telangana MLC Election 2015 was held for following district (Constituency) Rangareddy,Warangal,Mahabubnagar,Hyderabad,Khammam and Nalgonda. Total 31 was in race for Hyderabad,Rangareddy and Mahabubnagar Graduate Constituency. Total no of voter was 2,96,318 in this constituency as per CEO AP/Telangana.
For voting 435 polling stations was established by CEO 1 pooling station every 1400 voters in Urban area and for every 1200 voters in rural area. As per information form sources TRS Party has chance to win 2 Graduate Constituencies in Telangana.
