- As per the latest trend Congress is way ahead of BJP and SAD. Out of 95 wards, Congress was leading in 58 wards and BJP and SAD were ahead in 11 and 10 seats respectively.
- The counting for Ludhiana Municipal Corporation Election results is taking place today.
- According to reports, security has heightened following the clashes during the polling. It has been learnt that 108 tables in nine counting centres are being put up. Final results may be declared by noon.

Ludhiana Municipal Corporation Election Live Voting 2018
- According to the election commission, around 60 per cent eligible voters cast their votes.
- The voter turnout for polling in Ludhiana Municipal Corporation elections was recorded at 43.06 per cent at 2 pm.
- The voter turnout for polling in Ludhiana Municipal Corporation elections was recorded at 26.04 per cent at 12 am. 44 per cent turnout was recorded in Jagraon (ward 17) and 51.80 per cent in Payal (ward 5).

- The main fight is between the ruling Congress, the Shiromani Akali Dal-Bharatiya Janata Party (SAD-BJP) alliance and the Aam Aadmi Party-Lok Insaf Party alliance.
- A total of 494 candidates are contesting for the 95 municipal wards. Results will be announced on February 27.

Ludhiana Municipal Corporation Local Body Election Candidate List 2018
- BJP and the AAP today announced the list of candidates for the February 24 Ludhiana Municipal Corporation (MC) elections.
- The Punjab BJP released a list of 32 candidates, of whom 16 are women and seven are from the scheduled castes category, a state BJP release said here.
- Some of the prominent candidates are Yashpal Chaudhary, Gurbaksh Singh Billa, Meenu Jain, Pooja Rai, Sakshi Zulka and Munish Bedi.
- Before announcing the list, the Punjab BJP's election committee today met under the chairmanship of the party's state president Vijay Sampla here.
- The BJP's national secretary Tarun Chugh, former state presidents Madan Mohan Mittal, Manoranjan Kalia, Ashwani Sharma and Kamal Sharma, state general secretary (organization) Dinesh Kumar also attended the meeting.

Voting for Ludhiana Municipal Corporation Elections 2018 will take place on February 24 while counting of votes will take place on February 27.
- Local bodies minister Navjot Singh Sidhu on Wednesday said the Ludhiana municipal corporation (MC) will go to the polls in the second week of February.
- The minister said he has given a formal nod for this and the state election commission will soon announce the schedule.
- The polls of the municipal corporations of Jalandhar, Amritsar and Patiala were held in December while that of Ludhiana was held back due to lack of preparedness.
- He said 50% reservation was granted to women in all the municipal corporations, municipal councils and panchayats to ensure women empowerment.
