Former BJP parliamentarian Navjot Singh Sidhu on Friday floated a new political front 'Awaaz-e-Punjab' online - putting an end to all speculation of his joining the Aam Aadmi Party.

Hockey Olympian and Punjab's ruling Shiromani Akali Dallegislator Pargat Singh and two Independent legislators, Balwinder Singh Bains and Simarjit Singh Bains, have also joined hands with Sidhu.

"We have decided to form a new front to fight all forces which have ruined Punjab. A formal announcement of the new front would be made in the next three-four days at a place to be decided soon," Pargat Singh, who was suspended from the Akali Dal, told .

  1. The 'Awaaz-e-Punjab', a political front not a party, will be formally launched next week in Chandigarh, party insiders said.
  2. Our fight is against those who have ruined Punjab. We would work to serve the interests of Punjab,” says the poster.
  3. “We have decided to launch the political party — named Awaaz-e-Punjab and it would contest the 2017 assembly polls on all 117 seats,” Mr. Simrajit Bains told.
  4. Mr. Chottepur has extended his support to the new party.
  5. Pargat Singh, Bains brothers and we have formed a fourth alternative," Navjot Kaur Sidhu, wife of the cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Sidhu, told.
