Punjab (Dhuri) Bye election final result live: Counting of votes begins
The counting of votes to for Dhuri assembly byelection held on April 11 started today at 8 am at Desh Bhagat College, Bardwal.
Dhuri Bypoll Final Result: Gobind Longowal (67596) wins; Surjit S. Kalaboola (7554) lasted at third place
Simar Partap Singh Barnala who contested election on Congress symbol bagged 30095 votes and lasted as first runner-up.
Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann) candidate Surjit Singh Kalaboola lasted at third place with 7,554 votes.

Congress candidate Simar Partap Singh Barnala was trailing at second place with 20,540 votes.
After eight rounds of counting Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann) candidate Surjit Singh Kalabola was trailing at third place with 6030 votes. There were total 12 candidates who contested Dhuri bypass for which polling was held on April 11.
