13 Rajya Sabha By Election Results Live Voting % 2016 Schedule Candidates, Rajya Sabha Election Voting Result, Kerala Assam Punjab Rajya Sabha Elections Schedule Live Voting Result, Assam Biennial Elections Schedule Live Voting Result, Himachal Pradesh Biennial Elections Schedule Live Voting Result, Tripura Biennial Elections Schedule Live Voting Result, Nagaland Biennial Elections Schedule Live Voting Result, Rajya Sabha Biennial Elections, RS polls, RS polls Voting Updates

 The Election Commission on Wednesday declared biennial elections to 13 Rajya Sabha seats from six states, polling for which will be held on March 21.

 Among the 13 seats going to polls on account of members retiring in April, five are from Punjab, three from Kerala, two from Assam and one each from Himachal Pradesh, Tripura and Nagaland.

The retiring MPs include Ashwani Kumar, Avinash Rai Khanna, Sukhdev Singh, M S Gill and Naresh Gujral, all from Punjab; A K Antony, K N Balagopal and T N Seema from Kerala; Pankaj Bora and Naznin Faruque from Assam; Bimla from Himachal; and Jharna Das from Tripura.

The Nagaland vacancy has arisen on account of death of sitting MP Khekiho Zhimomi on November 26 last year.

As per schedule announced by the EC, the notification for the biennial elections to the council of states will be issued on March 4. The date of poll is fixed for March 21, with counting on the same day.
