Maharashtra Aurangabad Zilla Parishad Election Results

  1. Aurangabad Zilla Parishad Voting Live to start from 7 am morning. Election 2017 will take place on 16th Feb 2017.

Shiv Sena and MIM are focusing on retaining their respective seats in the municipal bypolls in two wards that will go to the elections on October 28.

Both the parties had to lose one seat each after the respective candidates' caste certificates were found invalid.

  1. There are 9,179 voters in Pahadsinghpura-Begumpura, of which 4,638 are males and 5,441 are females.
  2. Of the total 115 seats in the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), two were vacated recently after the respective candidates were disqualified by the authorities. 
  3.  NCP and many independents are likely to file nomination forms for the seat lying vacant for about a year.

 

 

Shiv Sena, which was holding the Pahadsinghpura-Begumpura municipal constituency seat till April, is once trying to occupy the seat. It may give ticket to Bhingare Anil Eknath, the party's candidate in the municipal polls last year. Sources in the party said 2-3 party workers are lobbying hard for the seat, but the seniors are expected to go with Bhingare. With Shiv Sena and BJP contesting the elections separately, the latter is also searching for a suitable candidate for the seat

The last date for filing nominations is August 9. The scrutiny of nominations will be done on August 10. After completion of scrutiny, the authorities will immediately declare the list of eligible candidates. Polling will be held on August 28, while the counting of votes will be on August 29.

In April, the municipal administration had disqualified Pahadsinghpura-Begumpura corporator Dnyanoba Pandurang Jadhav after the divisional caste verification committee (Amravati division) cancelled his caste certificate. The certificate was issued by Buldhana sub-divisional officer, which showed that he belonging to tjhe Kaikadi (SC) category.
