How to get a Voter Card for Jharkhand Poll 2014

Procedure for obtaining certified entry of Electoral Roll.

You can obtain a copy of the certified entry by approaching the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) concerned. You will be required to deposit the requisite fee and thereafter the ERO will issue the required certified copy.

Q. What should I do if I lose my voter ID card?

 

A. You must lodge an FIR with the police in the area you lost your voter ID card. Submit a copy of the FIR along with Form 002, to your Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) asking for a replacement with a fee of Rs. 25. Additionally you will need to attached identification proof, age proof and residence proof with the application.

 

Q. My voter ID card has been destroyed/mutilated. What should I do to get a replacement? Which form should I fill?

 

A. You must apply for a duplicate voter ID card using Form 002 and submit this Form to the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) of your constituency.

 

Q. My details on the voter list are right but those on my voter ID are wrong. How do I get it corrected?

 

A. You should apply for rectification of these errors through Form 004. You will have to submit this at the office of the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) of your constituency.

 

Q. How to correct a wrong photograph in my election card?

 

A. If you have received a voter ID card with a wrong photograph, click here. Alternatively, you can submit FORM 8(link to pdf) to the local ERO with correct particulars. You will need to submit the documents for your ID proof, residence proof as well as the correct and latest passport sized photograph to get it fixed in the updated voter ID. Your application will then be verified and a new updated voter ID card will be issued to you.
