Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who returned to power in assembly elections for a third time, will be sworn in on Wednesday, party sources said on Tuesday.  This will be the fourth swearing-in for the BJP leader, who has ruled the state since 2001.

Modiwill attend the National Development Council meeting in Delhi the next day.

In Gujarat, the BJP bagged 115 seats, two short of its 117 tally of 2007, of the total 182 seats. The Congress was bruised with 61 seats.

Party sources said the BJP leadership, including veteran L.K. Advani, Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley, were expected to attend Modi's swearing-in ceremony.

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray, Sahara’s Subrato Roy are in Amdavad to attend the oath taking ceremony of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

Modi’s mother Hiraba and other family members are also attending the function. Navjot Singh Siddu is also attending the function. Bhiyyuji Maharaj is also in Amdavad to attend the function.

Arun Shourie, Vasundhara Raje, Kalraj Mishra, Advani, Nitin Gadkari, Sushma Swaraj, Gopinath Munde, Mukhtar Abbas, Vijay Malhotra, Jayalalitha, Venkaiah Naidu are also in Amdavad to attend Shri Modi’s oath taking function.

Nirmala Seetharaman, Suresh and Vivek Oberoy, Manohar Parrikar Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Om Mathur, Prakash Javdekar, Dr. Raman Singh, Om Prakash Chautala, Jagdish Shettar, Arun Jaitley, Kirron Kher, Najma Heptullah, Ramdas Athwale, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Parkash Singh Badal, Aditya Thackeray, Smriti Irani are also in Amdavad to attend Shri Modi’s oath taking function.
