The counting of votes for the Bihar Legislative Council elections began at 8 am on Friday. District Magistrate (DM) of Patna Abhay Kumar Singh said that counting is being carried out in a transparent manner.
The election for 24 seats of Bihar Legislative council were held on Tuesday with an estimated 94 percent voting recorded during the polls.

Out of the results of 24 seats declared so far, 19 has come in the favour of BJP. NDA acquired 10 seats whereas alliance with Nitish Kumar gained 8 seats and one other.
NDA (BJP :11+ LJP :1+ independent supporter:1) = 13 Seats
Janata Parivar (JDU+ 5+ RJD:3+ Congress: 1) = 9 Seats

Rest be counting the Munger seat
BJP won 11 seats and its ally the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) won one seat while one seat was won by an Independent candidate supported by it. However, another BJP ally, the Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) was routed.
The grand alliance, which also has the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), won 10 seats while one seat was won by an Independent candidate.

Ashok Agarwal received support from the BJP won 406 votes. Total 1914 votes while his rival them also Anjali Devi 1508 votes. Ashok independent candidate.
