AAP decides to fight alone in Haryana Assembly elections

After facing a humiliating defeat in the Lok Sabha elections, the Aam Aadmi Party, led by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, has ruled out an alliance with the JJP for the upcoming Assembly elections in Haryana.

The assembly elections in Haryana are due in October 2019.

His statement comes at a time when its alliance partner –JJP— in Haryana is gearing up for the State Assembly polls due to be held in October.

The Aam Aadmi Party and the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) fought the elections together on all 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana. The AAP fought on four seats while the JJP on six seats. However, there was a clean sweep by the BJP on all the constituencies.

JJP, a splinter group of Indian National Lok Dal is led by former MP Dushyant Chautala, who is the grandson of INLD’s chief OP Chautala.
