MCG Elections 2017 Ward wise winner details,Municipal Corporation Election of Gurgaon 2017, Municipal Corporation Gurgaon of Election 2017 are expected to be held in february/March 2017.

The Punjab and Haryana high court on Monday issued notice to principal secretary, urban local bodies department, state election commission and the local authorities of Gurugram on a plea against the re-fixation of boundaries of wards for the elections to be conducted for municipal corporation.

Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon Election Reservation Ward List
- 18 of the 35 wards, selected through a lucky draw on Thursday, have been designated for reserved categories.
- Declared 10 wards that will be reserved for women and this includes wards; 2, 5, 9 ,16, 22, 26, 27,32, 33, and 35. And six wards such as: 1, 7, 11, 17, 21 and 25 have been reserved for scheduled caste candidates. Ward number 1 and 7 are also reserved for women candidates while ward number 24 and 31 are reserved for backward castes.

Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon Election Voting Live 2017
The polls for the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) will be held on September 24.
- According to a notification issued by the Haryana State Election Commission, the results will also be announced the same day.
- The term of the elected representatives of the MCG ended on June 21 2016, and polls were to be held before the expiry of their tenure.
- MCG also has Councillors or Representatives from a total of 35 wards in Gurgaon (their names given below) who act as a bridge between the committee and common public. Their purpose is to carry overall and uniform developmental work for the welfare of the citizens. For selecting the Councillors, MCG hold elections every 5 years. Citizens select a suitable councillor by the process of voting and that candidate represents the public in each ward.

These changes have eliminated the overlap of wards between assembly constituencies of Gurgaon and Badshahpur. Wards have also been redrawn in a manner that NH-8, railway lines and assembly constituencies act as boundaries.
