A source in the Congress said the Congress has decided to field candidates from Ranchi, Lohardagga, Khunti, Hazaribagh, Chatra, Dhanbad, Godda, Giridih and one more seat.
- Sitting MP Subodh Kant Sahay is among the candidates for Ranchi,

- senior leader Kalicharan Munda for Khunti,
- MLA Sourav Narayan Singh for Hazaribagh,
- Daltonganj MLA K N Tripathi for Chatra,

Meanwhile, during the high-level meeting in Delhi discussions were also held over the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) complaints against Congress minister Chandra Shekhar Dubey alias Dadai Dubey. JMM has demanded Dubey's removal after he claimed that JMM leader and Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren is the most corrupt chief minister Jharkhand has ever seen.
A source in the Congress said that party seniors have held talks with Dubey and asked him to desist from making any such comment in the future. "He has been strictly told not to bring out personal differences in the public and follow the standard protocol of not indulging in any personal comments on any leader," he said.
JMM has stepped up its demand for the removal of Dubey following his remarks. Hemant Soren had even been to Delhi where he made verbal complaints against Dubey in a meeting with senior leaders. Ever since the meeting between Soren and Jharkhand-in-charge of Congress and other senior leaders, rumors are doing the rounds that Dubey may be asked to go.
Talks were going on in the political circle that Congress MLA from Daltonganj K N Tripahti may replace him. "No action has been taken as yet against Dubeyji. He is a senior leader and he should avoid giving any controversial statement," said Bhagat.
