About Jahanabad:
Both these districts have recently created headlines in the country, owing to the Naxalite insurgency which has wreaked havoc in this region. Because these districts are infested with the Red Labels, these are part of the Red Corridor. All major economic growth and infrastructural facilities in this region have been hampered due to frequent attacks of the Naxals. This makes both the districts economically deprived.
