NEW DELHI:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the BJP campaign in West Bengal today before the Lok Sabha elections. He will address two rallies in the state, the first one in Thakur Nagar in North 24 Parganas and second in Durgapur. PM Modi is expected to launch an electrified section about 300 kilometres of railway. He will also inaugurate the 20-kilometre long Hijli-Narayangarh line.

PM Modi will also launch the electrification of the 294-km-long Andal-Sainthia-Pakur-Malda and the Khana-Sainthia sections. This will ease the transportation of coal, stone chips and ballast to the north and northeast India in a seamless manner.
