Haryana Poll Phase 1 Live Voting %,Haryana Panchayat Election Schedule/Date 2016 has been released for January 10, 17 and 24. The Haryana Panchayat Election Result would be declared on January 24.
The much-awaited Panchayat polls in Haryana will be held this year in three phases on January 10, 17 and 24, State Election Commission said on Tuesday. According to the election commissioner, elections will be held for 26,248 wards of Panches, 2,583 posts of Sarpanches, 1,221 wards of Panchayat Samitis and 416 wards of Zila Parishads.

Live voting % Highlights on January 10, 2016
- More than 60% voting was registered on the last leg of voting on Sunday.
- In Kurukshetra, 66.7% registered voters polled at Pehowa block
- 55.3 voters completed voting at the Thanesar block.
- 65.3% voters in Guhla
- 61.9% in Kaithal block had exercised their polling right.
- As many as 71% and 59.8% voters in Yamunanagar and Panipat districts respectively cast their voting rights.
With Haryana set to witness the first phase of 5th Panchayat General Elections on 10 January, State Election Commissioner Rajeev Sharma stated that all arrangements have been made for free and fair conduct of polls.
Out of 25,454 candidates who are in the fray for Panches, there are 15,484 men and 9,970 women.A total of 4,908 candidates, including 3,253 men and 1,655 women, are contesting elections for 1,221 wards of Panchayat Samitis The election process would be completed by February 15, 2016.

Addressing a press conference in Panchkula, near this evening, State Election Commissioner Rajiv Sharma said with the announcement of the elections, Model Code of Conduct has come into force in the area of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) where the polls will be conducted.
The Haryana assembly passed a bill under which candidates for panchayat elections in the state will have to ensure academic qualifications and fulfil other conditions, contesting candidates will require a minimum qualification of matriculation (Class 10). Scheduled Caste and women candidates will require middle pass (class 8) qualification and women candidates from Scheduled Caste category will have to be at least class 5 pass. The bill also makes it mandatory for contesting candidates to ensure that they have a functional toilet at home.
