Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanks Haryana and Maharashtra for BJP's record victory.
- As many as 2,302 independent candidates -- 1,699 from Maharashtra and 603 from Haryana -- contested the assembly elections. Of these, only 11 could win and 2,290 others lost their seats, as per the results announced by the Election Commission.
- BJP gets majority in Haryana, wins 47 out of 90 seats

- Nagender Bhadana of INLD defeats Pandit Shiv Charan Lal Sharma, an Independent candidate, by 2,914 votes from Faridabad NIT constituency. Naseem Ahmed of INLD defeats Mamman Khan, Independent candidate, by 3,245 votes from Ferozepur Jhirka. Jagbir Singh Malik of Congress defeats Krishan Chander Banger of INLD by 3,228 votes from Gohana
- INLD's Ashok Arora loses by 25638 votes from Thanesar Assembly constituency to BJP’s Subhash Sudha
- BJP in-charge Haryana Kailash Vijayvargiya: “The party will collectively decide the next chief minister. He will be someone who will be acceptable to all sections in Haryana.”
- BJP leads 47 seats out of 87 in Haryana
- Haryana: INLD's Dushyant Chautala loses to BJP's Prem Lata in Uchana Kalan
- Haryana Janhhit Congress chief Kuldeep Bishnoi wins the Adampur seat by a margin of over 17,000 votes.
- Conceding defeat, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda congratulated the Bharatiya Janata Party for its performance in the elections. "I congratulate BJP for their performance. I expect the new government to maintain the pase of development," he told reporters.
- Haryana: Parminder Singh Dhull of INLD has won the Julana seat by defeating Dharmendar Singh Dhull of the Congress.
