RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh chief minister Dr Raman Singh on Thursday claimed that there was no anti- incumbency against his government and that he was confident of BJP's hat-trick in the forthcoming elections.

In an informal chat with reporters, the CM said he had kept all promises made by his party in last election manifesto and that his government had worked to the people's satisfaction.

Taking a dig at Congress, Dr Singh said the UPA government at the Centre had totally failed. "What has happened to Dr Manmohan Singh and Sonia Gandhi's promises of bringing down prices in 100 days", he said, adding the common man was reeling under price rise of all commodities, from petrol, diesel, gas, vegetables, pulses etc.

He said that Chhattisgarh is the only state in the country where farmers were being paid the minimum support price and a bonus of Rs 270 from self generated funds. Despite the price rise, the government has assured availability of loans to farmers at a meager interest rate of 1% and was providing 35 kgs of rice per month at Rs 1 and Rs 2 per kg to the poor, he added.

He said Chhattisgarh was also the first state to make laws for food and nutritional security. Over 42 lakh families were benefiting from his government's revamped and efficient Public Distribution System.

Replying to a question on Naxalite problem, the CM said it was not an isolated problem and was affecting many states. However, he claimed that his government was committed to maintaining law and order and was taking adequate steps to meet this threat.
