It will be a neck and neck contest between the NDA and Nitish-led grand alliance in Bihar, but the BJP-led NDA is fast gaining ground, according to Times Now-CVoter opinion poll.
According to the survey, the BJP-led NDA is projected to win 117 seats, while the grand alliance headed by chief minister Nitish Kumar may win 112 seats. The remaining 14 seats will be won by others in the 243-member Bihar assembly.

There is a difference of only one per cent in vote share projected in the Times Now opinion poll survey, with NDA getting 43 per cent votes and the grand alliance running close with 42 per cent votes.

However, in a relief to Nitish Kumar, 47 per cent of those interviewed want him to return as chief minister of the state after the assembly elections.

16 per cent voted in favour of BJP leader Sushil Modi, while 6.7 per cent preferred former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi and 5.4 per cent preferred BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain.

Another interesting figure that the survey has thrown up is the difference between the Times Now-C Voter survey done in the first Week of September and the third week of September.
In the first survey on September 8, the BJP alliance is projected to win 102 seats, while the Nitish-led alliance is projected to touch 124 mark.
However, in the second round of the survey on September 23, the BJP-led alliance is seen making gains with a projection of 117 seats, while the number of grand alliance comes down to 112.
The C-Voter survey's projections are based on a sample survey of 7,786 interviews covering all 243 constituencies in Bihar during the second and third week of September. The survey has left a margin of 3 per cent error in projections.
