Assam ,Sikkim Bye Poll Election
Bye elections to fill clear vacancy in Parliamentary Constituencies of Kerala and Jammu & Kashmir and State Legislative Assemblies of Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, west Bengal, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, NCT of Delhi and sikkim.
The by-election was necessitated by the election of sitting BJP MLA Pradan Baruah as MP of Lakhimpur Lok Sabha seat.
Baruah had won the parliamentary seat after Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, who had earlier represented Lakhimpur, vacated the seat following election to the state Assembly from Majuli(ST) Assembly constituency.
