BJP-Congress face-off expected in Ghoradongri Assembly by-polls in Betul district of Madhya Pradesh, on May 30. The by-election was necessitated by the demise of Mr Sajjan Singh Uikey (BJP).

Couting starts For Ghoradongri

  1. BJP candidate Mangal Singh Dhurve wins by-poll by a margin of over 13344 votes.
  2. BJP candidate Mangal Singh takes decisive lead with around 13,000 votes.

  3. After 12th round BJP candidate Mangal Singh Dhurve ahead with 10,731 votes.
  4. After 10th round BJP candidate Mangal Singh Dhurve ahead with 7691 votes. Total there will be 17 rounds.
  5. After Seventh and Eighth round Vote Margin Between BJP and INC decreased from 7500 to 5900. BJP is ahead by 5900 votes now.
  6. Ghoradongri By-poll BJP leading by 7020 votes after 5th round.

  1. Counting is underway for by-election in Ghoradongri assembly constituency in Betul district of Madhya Pradesh.
  2. Ghoradongri by-elections recorded total 74% voter turnout.Counting will be held on June 2

01:00 PM: Voter turnout recorded till 1 PM is 52.09% of them female 50.38% & male 53.73% voting has been registered.

 

 

Here's all you need to know:

  1. In the constituency there are 2,19,433 voters are present, 1,12,316 are male voter and 1,07,109 are female voters, the third gender 8 voters are also present.
  2. Polls will begin from 7am to 5pm on May 30.
  3. The security bandobast comprises six companies of Central Armed Police Forces.
  4. Counting will be held on June 2 at the school of excellence premises at the district headquarters of Betul.
  5. A total of 2,19,404 voters are registered in the tribal constituency.
  6. Other candidates are Pawan Singh Dhurvey (Gondvana Gantantra Party), Barati Lal Uikey (Bahujan Mukti Party), independents Kishanlal Baraskar, Rajesh Siyaram and Sukhlal Dhurvey. 
  7. 120 out of the 340 polling booths have been declared sensitive where additional security arrangements have been made.
