Congress lodges complaint against pre- poll survey.

BHOPAL: Congress made a complaint with the Election Commission regarding the pre-poll surveys predicting a sweeping victory for the BJP in Madhya Pradesh alleging that they are misleading and should be immediately stopped, on Tuesday.

Spokesperson for Congress, Vineet Godha said, "The surveys are inappropriate in one of such surveys only 75 people from each constituency were surveyed and out of that 30 percent of the respondents didn't answer. Then how can they predict results of the constituency which has lakhs of voters on the basis of just 50-60 people's opinion".

"We have faxed the complaint to ECI and also submitted our complaint with the chief electoral officer of the state," he said.

"Broadcast of such surveys should immediately be stopped as they are misleading", Godha told.
