South West is a constituency represented in the London Assembly. It has been represented, since its creation in 2000, by Tony Arbour, a Conservative from Richmond upon Thames.
It covers the combined area of the London Borough of Hounslow, the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, and the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.
South West Delhi is one of the eleven administrative districts of the National Capital Territory of Delhi in India. The Subcity of Dwarka serves as the administrative headquarters of South West Delhi.
South West Delhi is bounded by the districts of West Delhi to the south, Central Delhi to the southeast, New Delhi and South Delhi to the east, Gurgaon District of Haryana state to the south, and Jhajjar District of Haryana to the west. Rajbir Yadav from Chhawla Block Congress Committee is Alderman of South Delhi District of MCD.

South West Delhi was one of the initial nine districts that came into existence from January 1997. Prior to that, there used to be only one district for whole of Delhi with district headquarters at Tis Hazari. The District then composed of three Sub-Divisions; Vasant Vihar, Najafgarh and Delhi Cantonment, and had its Headquarters at Palam
