The AAP’s proposed ministers are Manish Sisodia, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Somnath Bharti, Rakhi Birla, Satyendra Jain and Girish Soni. President Pranab Mukherjee cleared the decks for the formation of a minority AAP government with Congress backing and chief minister-designate Kejriwal may be asked to prove majority by January 3, official sources said.

AAP leader Kumar Vishwas said: “We have requested the Lt. Governor (Najeeb Jung) that we want to take oath on December 28 (Saturday), and he has agreed.” The decision to opt for December 28, instead of the earlier December 26, was taken at a meeting of party leaders at Kejriwal’s Kaushambi house in Uttar Pradesh.

Delhi Chief Minister designate Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will fulfill its promises mentioned in the party manifesto.

Reassuring the Delhiites, the AAP convenor said that his party will deliver promises on time and has also chalked out plans about how to provide 700 litres of free water to the people.

While addresing the media, Kejriwal appealed to the people to attned the swearing-in ceremony at Ramlila Maidan on December 28 (Saturday).

The AAP chief said, "Everyone is invited for the oath taking ceremony." He further said that people of Delhi would be the chief minister and not him.

Kejriwal, who tapped into public anger to take the AAP to the corridors of power, will take oath on Saturday as Delhi's seventh chief minister, with his party promising to "completely overhaul" the system. The swearing-in ceremony will be held at the Ramlila Maidan, where Anna Hazare fasted for 12 days for Jan Lokpal Bill with Kejriwal as one of his aides.

AAP has 28 seats while Congress with 8 has agreed to give it outside support. BJP is the single largest party with 31 seats in its kitty. The party had declined to form government citing lack of majority in the 70-member Assembly.'zeenews'
