BJP'S DEVENDRA FADNAVIS WAS SWORN IN AS MAHARASHTRA CHIEF MINISTER AND NCP'S AJIT PAWAR AS HIS DEPUTY https://infoelections.com/infoelection/maharashtra/9352-bjp-s-devendra-fadnavis-was-sworn-in-as-maharashtra-chief-minister-and-ncp-s-ajit-pawar-as-his-deputy.html https://infoelections.com/infoelection/maharashtra/9352-bjp-s-devendra-fadnavis-was-sworn-in-as-maharashtra-chief-minister-and-ncp-s-ajit-pawar-as-his-deputy.html BJP'S DEVENDRA FADNAVIS WAS SWORN IN AS MAHARASHTRA CHIEF MINISTER AND NCP'S AJIT PAWAR AS HIS DEPUTY

BJP Devendra Fadnavis administered the oath to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and NCP's Ajit Pawar in the morning political strike, which shocked the Shiv Sena and the Congress.

The Chief Minister was "unanimously" hours after the Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress passed NCP chief Sharad Pawar, with the ultimate intention of forming a new coalition government with Uddhav Thackeray.

{loadposition leadtechad}

"I want to thank Ajit Pawar ji of NCP, he took this decision to give a stable government in Maharashtra and join BJP. Some other leaders also came with us and we claimed to form the government. "Fadnavis said soon after the swearing-in."

Sharad Pawar's nephew Ajit said, 'I took this decision because the discussion of the alliance of the three parties Congress, NCP and Shiv Sena was not over. There was a need to provide a stable government in Maharashtra

Even speculating whether Ajit did it with senior Pawar's secret blessings, he tweeted that the nephew acted on his own.

Ajit Pawar's decision to support the BJP to form the Government of Maharashtra is his personal decision and not the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). We say on record that we do not support or endorse his decision, ”Sharad Pawar tweeted.

Shiv Sena's Sanjay Raut, who was the most vocal on the proposed alliance, said that Shiv Sena chief Thackeray was in touch with senior Pawar, and Ajit supported them all.

"Ajit Pawar has supported the people of Maharashtra. The BJP has once again misused the governor's office for power. It is against the credibility of the democracy of the country," Sanjay Raut said.

{loadposition googleadr}

There is no immediate clarity on how many NCP MLAs were supporting Ajit Pawar, although reports said that 29 MLAs had signed letters of support to the governor.

Details of the plan that went behind the move were revealed later when the report stated that Fadnavis and Pawar took over after President's rule, imposed in the state a fortnight ago, which was canceled at 5.47 am.

According to a Home Ministry notification, President Ram Nath Kovind signed a declaration to repeal the Union rule this morning. Gazette notification to this effect was issued by Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla at 5.47 am.

The state was drowned in the election results after the political crisis on October 25, as Uttar Pradesh severed its three-decade-long relationship with the BJP after refusing to share the post of chief minister.

The BJP and Shiv Sena, which contested assembly elections in the alliance, won a majority by winning 105 and 56 seats in the 288-member assembly respectively. Pre-election allies Congress and NCP won 44 and 54 seats respectively.

With the opinion polls showing their trust towards the BJP and Shiv Sena alliance the buzz of Deputy Chief Minister has increased in the state. Sena party workers are demanding Deputy CM from their party if NDA gets the majority in the state and even the BJP president agrees on it. {loadposition leadtechad}

However, the BJP National President also said that Devendra Fadnavis will continue as Maharashtra’s Chief Minister if the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) retains power in the state.

Apart from this Amit Shah while addressing the people of Maharashtra said that Development works have percolated down to the ground level. He also said in the last five years BJP laid the foundation of all the development works that we plan to execute in the next 20 years.

Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt also backed Aditya Thackeray and said he hopes the Yuva Sena leader wins by a huge margin as the country needs dynamic young leaders. He also added that Thackeray family has always supported him in his tough times.

The position of NDA alliance is getting stronger in Maharashtra as the days are passing and many of analyst believe that BJP-Sena will get more seats than the 2014 election.{loadposition googleadr}

However, the AIMIM is making a pretty strong presence in Maharashtra and ultimately harming the Congress vote share in the state. Muslim voters are pretty much confused and are supporting MIM over the Congress.

There is certain assembly in the State where the Muslim voters play a very decisive role in deciding the representative of the assembly. However, the abolition of Triple Talaq Bill by the NDA at the central level has tilted the Muslim female voters in favour of BJP.

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi is working hard in the election to gain voters attention in the state and leaving no chance to criticize the shortcoming of BJP led government in the state.

However, despite all the strong effort by all the parties in the state BJP-Sena is still dominating as Maratha who ruled in the state are openly supporting NDA which is making them on top of voter’s mood in the state.

As days will pass election in Maharashtra will become tougher as all the parties are making their strong efforts to win maximum no of seats in Maharashtra.

Prakash Ambedkar’s newly formed Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA), which fought its first election in an alliance with Owaisi’s AIMIM, made an impressive first impression and secured about 14 per cent of the total votes in the state. These votes made a dent in the vote share of the Congress and its allies.

{loadposition googlead}

Further in the recent rally in Maharashtra Amit Shah strongly criticized opponent parties about their fake promises to voters. He said that Congress and NCP did not do anything for 15 years except giving false and misleading promises. But after BJP government came to power five years back, BJP worked for the poor, downtrodden, tribal, minorities, farmers, OBCs and women, and tried to bring about a transformation (in their lives).

Amit Shah said people should use the Assembly polls as an opportunity to end dynasty politics of Congress, NCP in the state.

The union government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has worked for security and development of the country while the Fadnavis government ensured development in the state.

Shah said that both Congress and NCP had opposed making instant triple talaq illegal and abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A in Jammu and Kashmir.

In upcoming days Rafale purchase during assembly poll rallies in Maharashtra will also be highlighted.
Rahul Gandhi from past 2 days has been into a highlight for travelling to Thailand despite assembly polls. This has a given a new topic to the opposition to worsen the position for Congress.

RISE OF BJP IN MAHARASHTRA https://infoelections.com/infoelection/maharashtra/9291-rise-of-bjp-in-maharashtra.html https://infoelections.com/infoelection/maharashtra/9291-rise-of-bjp-in-maharashtra.html RISE OF BJP IN MAHARASHTRA

BJP has shown a remarkable performance in the 2019 general election in Maharashtra which made a clear mandate to repeat an analogous kind of trend for 2019 assembly election.

For the last 20 years, Maharashtra’s state elections have immediately followed the national elections and the party securing the most votes in the national elections usually repeats that performance in the state elections.

{loadposition googlead}

As in other states, Maharashtra’s politics has been defined by the rise of the BJP along with the Shiv Sena, at the expense of the Congress and the NCP. The BJP’s popularity now transcends all levels of politics in the state. For instance, in the 2017 Zila Parishad elections (district-level) and the municipal corporation elections, the BJP secured most seats—more than even the regional parties such as the Shiv Sena and the NCP.

BJP Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2019

On comparison of the vote share of Shiv Sena and BJP in Maharashtra, they have shown an exponential growth but the growth was majorly observed in Urban areas. As Maharashtra is getting more modernized more increase in the BJP vote share will be seen.

Another reason for the rise of the BJP-Shiv Sena combine is the broad-based caste support it has begun to enjoy, despite the caste-based agitations in recent years. The alliance is now eating into the traditional support base of the Congress and NCP. The NCP, a Maratha-dominated party, could only get 28% of Maratha votes in the 2019 general elections compared to 39% for Shiv Sena. This bend of Maratha voters towards the Sena and BJP is making the opponent to lose they’re in most of the region of Maharashtra.

Though Shiv Sena is ally party for the BJP but still a lot of differences is observed among the party ideology as Shiv Sena is openly criticizing the BJP on its working but still it is making less affect on the voters to vote in favour of BJP and Shiv Sena alliance.

The election outcome in Maharashtra will have important implications for the nation’s economy. Because of Mumbai, Maharashtra is India’s most important state economically, contributing a steady 14% of national output over the past decade. More than these economic factors, though, emotional factors could help bring back the BJP-Sena alliance to power. The abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution will be well-received by Maharashtra’s voters.

Maharashtra Assembly election 2019: Congress demands rejection of CM Fadnavis nomination https://infoelections.com/infoelection/maharashtra/9290-maharashtra-assembly-election-2019-congress-demands-rejection-of-cm-fadnavis-nomination.html https://infoelections.com/infoelection/maharashtra/9290-maharashtra-assembly-election-2019-congress-demands-rejection-of-cm-fadnavis-nomination.html Maharashtra Assembly election 2019: Congress demands rejection of CM Fadnavis’ nomination

The Congress has fielded Ashish Deshmukh against Devendra Fadnavis this time. Deshmukh was elected from the Katol seat from BJP in the year 2014. However, he had resigned from the party in October last year.

{loadposition leadtechad}

The Congress party has demanded from the Election Commission to reject Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ nomination from Nagpur South West over an error in an affidavit for the upcoming Assembly elections in the state. The party has alleged that the date of the notary seal on it expired in December last year.

Congress leader Ashish Deshmukh said the seal on the affidavit stated that the notary, a person authorized to work in legal matters of seeing signatures on documents, expired on December 28, 2018.

Deshmukh said that the concerned Returning Officer (RO) Shekhar Ghadge should have rejected the form as well as Fadnavis's candidature. But the officer, he said, failed to do so.

Accusing the government's pressure of inaction, the Congress leader demanded the Supreme Court's decision to reject Fadnavis's nomination letter, citing the Supreme Court's decision. Devendra Fadnavis had filed his nomination papers as a BJP candidate on Friday. He is seeking re-election from the Nagpur South West seat.

This time the Congress fielded Deshmukh against Fadnavis. Deshmukh was elected to the Katol seat from the BJP in 2014. However, he resigned from the party in October last year. Deshmukh is a strong supporter of the demand for a separate state. Meanwhile, the BJP has dismissed the allegation and said it was a mistake on part of the notary. “The date (28-12-2018) mentioned on the seal of the notary is true. The notary had not changed his seal and stamped on the papers. The notary has valid extension letter till 28-12-2023,” party leader Sandip Joshi said.
