Dates of municipal corporations elections in Uttar Pradesh (UP) has been announced. It will happen in 4 phases in June 24th, 27th, July 1st and 4th 2012. Uttar Pradesh urban local polls results will be declared on July 7th. municipal corporations elections will be held for Meerut, Moradabad, Lucknow Varanasi, Bareilly, Agra, Kanpur Nagar, Allahabad, Gorakhpur, Aligarh, Ghaziabad and Jhansi.

UP urban local polls results will be declared after counting of votes on July 7.
Polling time of Uttar Pradesh urban local body elections
Uttar Pradesh election commission has extended the polling time by 1 hour due to hot whether prevailing in Uttar pradesh. In Bundelkhand region and Naxal-affected districts of Chandauli, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, polling will start at 6.30 am and conclude at 5.30 pm. In other districts, polling will start at 7 am and end at 6 pm.
