Lalu Yadav set to be re-elected as RJD chief, upcoming state elections in Uttar Pradesh, Assam & West Bengal, RJD’s national president, Janata Dal (United) , Lalu Prasad Yadav
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad is set to be re-elected as national president of the party for a ninth consecutive year after its return to power in the 2015 assembly election in an alliance with the Janata Dal (United) and the Congress.
“Today filed nomination for re-election as RJD’s national president in Patna,” Prasad said on the microblogging site Twitter.
Prasad will serve a term of three years and lead his party in upcoming state elections in Uttar Pradesh, Assam and West Bengal.
