About the Constituency:
Ambala is one of the 10 parliamentary constituencies in the Northern Indian state of Haryana. 1,264,907 is the total electorate count in the Ambala Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 1). Out of these 691,750 number of electorates are males and the remaining 573,157 are belong to the female category as the Election commission of India 2009 reports suggest. The Ambala parliamentary constituency has been reserved for candidates belonging to the scheduled castes. Covering more than one district, this constituency is a political landmark in the affairs of the country. This constituency covers the whole districts of Ambala and Panchkula and a majority portion of the Yamunanagar district.

Significance about the Assembly Segments:

While two of the assembly segments belong to the Panchkula district, and three segments cover the Yamunanagar district, the remaining four assembly constituencies cover the entire district of Ambala. According to the Delimitation Commission of India instituted in 2002 which issued the Delimitation of Parliamentary and Constituencies Order of 2008, the number of assembly constituencies of the Parliamentary constituency has been numbered to nine assembly segments, out of which Mullana(SC) and Sadhaura(SC) segments are reserved for candidates of the scheduled caste categories.

Names of Assembly Constituencies:
Kalka Panchkula Naraingarh
Ambala Cantonment Ambala City Mullana
Sadhaura Jagadhari Yamunanagar

 About Ambala:

While Ambala city is the administrative headquarters of the Ambala district, Panchkula city is the administrative capital of the Panchkula district. Though the region of this Lok Sabha constituency is primarily a rich agricultural region, the three districts of Ambala, Panchkula and Yamunanagar have some small scale industries, which are the primary strengths of the economy.

Demography:

The district of Ambala houses a population of 11,28,359 people, as per the 2011 Census.

 Present Political Scenario:

 Congress losing ground
The very fact that Kumari Selja opted out of this seat tells the story of how badly the Congress is placed here, which has also apparently demoralized many grass-root workers of the party.

May turn out to be a BJP Versus BSP contest
BJP has nominated former MP, Ratan Lal Kahariya, who had won this seat in 1999 and had lost in 2009 (to Selja) by a very low margin of less than 2%. It is believed by many observers that this time Congress maybe out of contest from here at least in 3-4 assembly segments where the fight would be between BJP and BSP.

Bhiwani- Mahendragarh Parliamentary Constituency 2019, Bhiwani- Mahendragarh Lok sabha Constituency Details, Political News Bhiwani- Mahendragarh, Haryana Lok Sabha Elections 2019 News Updates, Haryana Parliamentary Constituency details 2019 https://infoelections.com/infoelection/parliamentary-constituency/6475-bhiwani-mahendragarh-parliamentary-constituency.html https://infoelections.com/infoelection/parliamentary-constituency/6475-bhiwani-mahendragarh-parliamentary-constituency.html Historical background about the Constituency:

Formed as recently as in 2008, as per the Delimitation Commission’s notifications, the Bhiwani- Mahendragarh Lok Sabha seat is one of the 10 parliamentary constituencies in the Northern Indian state of Haryana.

It has been one of the most historically relevant regions in the country as Gandhiji launched a number of his freedom movements from here, gearing the nation against strong anti-colonial forces. The Bhiwani Mahendragarh Parliamentary constituency (constituency number 8) has a total of 1,212,513 electorates out of which 566,063 are females and 646,450 are males according to Election Commission of India 2009 reports. Thus this constituency, which accounted for around eight lakh voters in its first Lok Sabha elections fought in 2009, has been a Congress bastion from the earliest times.

Assembly Segments:
The Bhiwani-Mahendragarh constituency covers more than one district, as the nine assembly segments, which comprise it are scattered over many regions. While five of the assembly segments of Loharu, Badhra, Dadri, Bhiwani and Tosham belong to the Bhiwani district, the remaining four assembly constituencies cover the entire district of Mahendragarh. This constituency covers the whole district of Mahendragarh and a major portion of the Bhiwani district.

Names of Assembly Constituencies:
Loharu Badhra Dadri
Bhiwani Tosham Ateli
Mahendragarh Narnaul Nangal Chaudhry

About Bhiwani- Mahendragarh:

Though, the region of this Lok Sabha constituency has a considerably rich agrarian economy, the two districts of Bhiwani and Mahendragarh have some small scale industries which are the backbone of the economy. However, this constituency has been announced as one of the most backward regions in Haryana, receiving regular funds from the Government of India under the Backward Regions Grant Fund Programme (BRGFP).

Present Political Scenario:

Former CM, Bansilal’s grand daughter and sitting Congress MP, Shruti Chaudhary is in trouble here. BJP has nominated recently joined Congress MLA, Dharambir Singh, who has considerable clout in this region.
 Caste Arithmetic
This could well be a three-cornered fight, Apart from Jats, Aroras and Khatri voters play a crucial role here (4-5 lakh votes).

There is some resentment here too among other aspirants like former MLA Naresh Malik and national secretary of the party, Abhimanyu Singh. Dhankhar is also seen as an outsider to this constituency, but he is probably the best choice the party has made for this herculean task. It will indeed be a mammoth task to defeat Congress from here.
