About the Constituency:

One of the 80 constituencies of Uttar Pradesh, Mirzapur Lok Sabha Constituency was formed before 1952. 1,405,539 is the total electorate count in the Agra Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 79). Out of these 760,833 number of electorates are males and the remaining 644,706 are belong to the female category as the Election commission of India 2009 reports suggest.

Formed as recently as in 2008, as per the Delimitation Commission’s notifications, the Bhiwani- Mahendragarh Lok Sabha seat is one of the 10 parliamentary constituencies in the Northern Indian state of Haryana.

It has been one of the most historically relevant regions in the country as Gandhiji launched a number of his freedom movements from here, gearing the nation against strong anti-colonial forces. The Bhiwani Mahendragarh Parliamentary constituency (constituency number 8) has a total of 1,212,513 electorates out of which 566,063 are females and 646,450 are males according to Election Commission of India 2009 reports. Thus this constituency, which accounted for around eight lakh voters in its first Lok Sabha elections fought in 2009, has been a Congress bastion from the earliest times.

Assembly Segments:
The Bhiwani-Mahendragarh constituency covers more than one district, as the nine assembly segments, which comprise it are scattered over many regions. While five of the assembly segments of Loharu, Badhra, Dadri, Bhiwani and Tosham belong to the Bhiwani district, the remaining four assembly constituencies cover the entire district of Mahendragarh. This constituency covers the whole district of Mahendragarh and a major portion of the Bhiwani district.

About Bhiwani- Mahendragarh:

Though, the region of this Lok Sabha constituency has a considerably rich agrarian economy, the two districts of Bhiwani and Mahendragarh have some small scale industries which are the backbone of the economy. However, this constituency has been announced as one of the most backward regions in Haryana, receiving regular funds from the Government of India under the Backward Regions Grant Fund Programme (BRGFP).

Present Political Scenario:

Former CM, Bansilal’s grand daughter and sitting Congress MP, Shruti Chaudhary is in trouble here. BJP has nominated recently joined Congress MLA, Dharambir Singh, who has considerable clout in this region.
 Caste Arithmetic 
This could well be a three-cornered fight, Apart from Jats, Aroras and Khatri voters play a crucial role here (4-5 lakh votes).

The Faridabad parliamentary constituency is one of the 10 Lok Sabha constituencies that belong to the north Indian state of Haryana. It covers the entire district of Faridabad. The Gurgaon Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 9) consists of 1,244,437 number of electorates in totality, of these 664,532 are males and 579,905 are females as the Election commission of India 2009 data suggests. According to the Delimitation of Parliamentary and Constituencies Order of 2008, the parliamentary constituency of Gurgaon again came into existence in 2008. This constituency is politically relevant, not only in the state of Haryana, but in the larger politics of the country.

Assembly Segments:
The Gurgaon constituency was made operational by merging together four assembly segments of erstwhile Faridabad parliamentary constituency and five assembly segments of erstwhile Mahendragarh parliamentary constituency. The number of assembly constituencies of the parliamentary constituency adjusted as nine assembly segments, out of which Bawal and Pataudi assembly segments are reserved for candidates belonging to the scheduled castes.

About Gurgaon:
The Gurgaon city which is an integral part of the parliamentary constituency is part of the administrative headquarters as well as the Municipal Corporation of the district. The district is one of the most advanced regions with a whopping population count of 15,14,432 people as per the 2011 census data. 
The economy of the Gurgaon parliamentary constituency thrives on a strong industrial base, as Gurgaon is known as the Millennium City, contributing to be rated as the third richest city in the country, by housing around 250 large-scale and medium-scale industries. Traditionally however, Gurgaon has been an agricultural district. This parliamentary constituency of Gurgaon has some renowned entertainment hubs across the city.

Famous for being Asia’s largest manufacturer of galvanized iron, Hisar district has a parliamentary constituency by its same name. The Hisar Parliamentary constituency is one of the 10 parliamentary constituencies of Haryana.
The Hisar Lok Sabha Constituency (constituency number 4) consists of 1,194,689 number of electorates in totality, of these 653,423 are males and 541,266 are females as the Election commission of India 2009 data suggests. It was formerly called the Hissar Lok Sabha constituency.

Assembly Segments:
It has Nine assembly segments, out of which assembly constituencies of Uklana and Bawari Khera are reserved for candidates belonging to the scheduled castes. Bawani Khera and Uchana Kalan are in the Bhiwani and Jind districts respectively, the remaining seven assembly constituencies cover the entire district of Hisar.

About Hisar:

Hisar city is the administrative centre of the district. Besides being the largest producer of galvanized iron, it also houses the continent’s largest automobiles spare parts industry. Hisar is called the City of Steel. The population of the Hisar district, as recorded in the 2011 Census of India, is 17,43,931 people.

About Karnal:

About Rohtak:
Rohtak city is the administrative headquarters of the Rohtak district. Rohtak is known across the world for its fastener and Turned Parts Industry, which provides the backbone of the economy in this constituency spread across these districts. Metal work industries are flourishing in this constituency. As per the readings of the 2011 Census of India, the district has a population of 10,58,683. 
Present Political Scenario:
Tough Seat for BJP
National president of the Kisan Morcha, Om Prakash Dhankhar has been chosen as the BJP’s candidate from here to take on the almost impossible sounding Deepender Singh Hooda who had won this seat by a whopping 4.5 lakh votes in 2009. There is some resentment here too among other aspirants like former MLA Naresh Malik and national secretary of the party, Abhimanyu Singh. Dhankhar is also seen as an outsider to this constituency, but he is probably the best choice the party has made for this herculean task. It will indeed be a mammoth task to defeat Congress from here.

Under the stronghold of the Congress party since its inception,The Lok Sabha seat of Sirsa in Haryana has been reserved for candidates belonging to the scheduled castes. It is one of the 10 parliamentary constituencies that are representative of Haryana in the Indian Parliament. 
The Sirsa Parliamentary constituency (constituency number 3) has a total of 1,309,507 electorates out of which 603,468 are females and 706,039 are males according to Election Commission of India 2009 reports. Spread across the districts of Jind and Fatehabad partially and the district of Sirsa wholly, this parliamentary constituency is politically significant in the state.

Assembly Segments:
The number of assembly constituencies which make up the parliamentary constituency of Sirsa has been numbered to nine segments. While the assembly segment of Narwana belongs to the Jind district, and the segments of Tohana, Fatehabad and Ratia cover the Fatehabad district, the remaining five assembly constituencies cover the entire district of Sirsa.

About Sirsa:
Although, the region of this Lok Sabha constituency is primarily an agrarian economy, this state witnessed the growth of many small scale industrial setups in these regions, such as manufacturing of soaps, candles, radios and electrical goods. Jind is well known as the district where the first large scale industrial Milk Plant unit was set up. Saint Gobain Gyproc India Limited is also situated in this constituency. The Sirsa district has been identified as one of the economically backward regions, thus it has been granted government funds under special schemes. The district of Sirsa has a population of 12,95,189 people, according to the Census of India 2011.
