AJMER: BJP candidates even in the local municipal elections are counting on the star power of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for their victory and, therefore, large hoardings and banners displayed at crossroads have photos of BJP candidates with Modi and BJP president Amit Shah.
Meanwhile, Congress is campaigning with only loud speakers. Candidates are working on their own to prepare for the final day of voting.
The election office on Wednesday deputed two observers of Rajasthan Administrative Services cadre, one for Ajmer and another for different municipal regions of the district. The office also released the polling station list for voters.
BJP candidates are enthusiastic and looking forward to repeat the victory of parliament and state assembly elections. The photographs are quite similar to those used in campaigning of Modi in Lok Sabha elections "This will certainly give a message to voters that BJP is again in form and they will recollect the magic of Modi," said an analyst.
With only five days left for the voting day, neither BJP nor Congress has come up with any agenda for this election.
