Delhi assembly polls, we will come to power: BJP

Amid continuing uncertainty over government formation in the national capital, senior Delhi BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri on Sunday said the party was ready for fresh election in the city, where it had come first in 60 of the 70 assembly segments in the recent Lok Sabha polls. The South Delhi MP, who is also general secretary of Delhi unit of the party, said elections appeared to be the only option as BJP, which is the largest party in the 70-member House, did not have the numbers to form a government. "BJP is ready for assembly election in Delhi and I am confident that this time we will come to power with a thumping majority as we were ahead in 60 Assembly segments in the Lok Sabha polls," Bidhuri said.

One of the concerns that worry Union Railways Minister DV Sadananda Gowda is something that every company has been worried about - high costs. In his last one month as the Railways Minister, what he has found is that most of the cost goes into running that mammoth engine called. Well, the Railways. There are ongoing projects worth Rs 5 lakh crores and we are able to allocate just Rs 25 to 30,000 crores sometimes for these. You just calculate, is it possible? I'm sorry to say, some projects may even need 40 years for completion at the rate at which we allocate funds," Gowda.

Train has been run over the public: Shiv Sena on fare hike

In a attack to Modi Govt. on rail fair hike Shiv Sena has now strongly criticized the Narendra Modi government's move to hike rail fares. An editorial in party mouthpiece Saamana says that the hike is a burden on Mumbaikars and local train passengers will suffer. Sena says that if the Congress had hiked fares, the BJP would have been the first to oppose it. The Saamna editorial says that the BJP should not hike fares further and impose a burden on public.
